It's been a while

So, it's been over two weeks since I last updated.

A lot has heppened and more is about to happen. But I can't speak on those topics yet.

Instead, I'll comment on this article from CNN.com. My comment:

Well DUH.

You can find out just about anything on anyone up here on the 'net. I've had credit card information stolen from up here. I had my very own web-based stalker.

I can't imagine why teenagers think that anything they post up here would be viewable by teens only. It's just beyond ignorant to think that way.

In my second effort to stop this travesty:

Dear Teenagers of America,

Whatever you post on the Internet is free for the ENTIRE WORLD TO READ (except maybe Communist China).

When you post pictures of yourself licking your lips as a joke for Billy, the cute boy in your Biology class, every single person in your high school, your city, your county, your state, your NATION can see that picture.

"MySpace" is not some joint where you and your friends "hang out" online. Well, it might have been at one point. Now it's trolling grounds for sexual predators.

Stop posting personal information about yourself. Stop posting your class schedule. Stop posting your daily itinerary. Stop posting pictures of yourself and your friends.

While I appreciate you leaving the mall safe for shopping, and I do enjoy the fact that I can go to Starbucks and not a hear chorus of "like" and "you know"... I am pretty tired of the obituary notices and missing persons reports on teenage girls and boys.

Do yourself, your parents, your friends and family a solid favor:

Unplug.

Sincerely,
Mac.
