Just Stop Giving Him a Soapbox.

I've bashed Jack Thompson, Esq. on previous posts, but honestly, I'm just sick of him. I mean... you go to the circus sideshow and you see BoBo the Monkeyboy. At first, you're thinking "Wooo... that's just freaky!" But then, you see BoBo again a half hour later, and you think "Huh. Well." And then, you see him again an hour after that and you just feel sorry for him. Then, two hours later and another trip past his show and you get angry at the circus for putting him on display.

And that's where I am now. This little clip of The Loop just fuels my ire. The man is clearly not playing with full deck.

Mark Friedler responds to a question by saying that his 4 and 6 year old sons punch and kick each other and they've never played a video game.

Adam Sessler says that parents are responsible for monitoring what their kids play.

Jack Thompson says that's NOT the issue.

And THAT is what's wrong with America today, folks. Parents ARE responsible for what their kids do. Parents ARE responsible for monitoring what games their kids play and shows they watch on TV.

Until everyone in the U.S. accepts that as FACT, the government will never stop trying censor, monitor, restrict, and outlaw games, shows, and books that it finds questionable. That sure doesn't sound a Free Republic to me. Sounds more like Fascism.

This is how I feel when Jack Thompson starts attempting to say something coherent. Straight up ask the guy if he's ever played any of the games that he's criticizing and he'll respond "no, I don't need to." How can you have a valid opinion about something being too violent when all you do is just watch all the video clips that are taken out of context? Oh wait... that's also the ESRB. =\

They both suck.
